Reuse and local or responsibly sourced materials

The studio and boutique’s design focus on second-hand materials and reused items, as well as celebrating talent.

We tiled the floor with old terracotta tiles retrieved from old buildings in the Aude region. They were retrieved and then cleaned these tiles for reuse by Escolier, a company in Castelnaudary.

A lot of the specific tools and equipment in the studio were second-hand and procured via the community of jewellers and watchmakers.

The studio and boutique’s furniture is predominately made of solid oak, sourced from companies with responsible wood certification.

Meanwhile, the swing arm lamps on the workbench came directly from the Jielde production plant in France.

Last but not least are the boutique‘s Baumann seats and the studio’s Ronéo chairs, made by two illustrious French furniture manufacturers from the first half of the 20th century. Perfect for sitting back and relaxing.
